At Rotary, we have no tolerance for racism. Promoting respect, celebrating diversity, demanding ethical leadership, and working tirelessly to advance peace are central tenets of our work. We have more work to do to create more just, open and welcoming communities for all people.

We know there are no easy fixes and that challenging conversations and work lie before all of us. Rotary’s strength has long been our ability and commitment to bringing people together. We will tap into that strength now as we stand with those who are working for peace and justice.

Rotary will do our part to listen, learn and take action to ensure that we continue to contribute to making positive change.

Our Community

We work as a club to improve opportunities in the North Suffolk Virginia community to empower growth, improve culture and breed legacy-building relationships that will advance the next generation. Get involved. You’ll find some of the kindest, most generous people to work side-by-side with as together we strive to be the inspiration for our neighbors.

Community and Global Impact

The North Suffolk Rotary Club is dedicated to make a big impact on our community.  From Rotaract Clubs to partnerships with local high schools to build-outs with Roc Solid Foundation, the North Suffolk Rotary Club strives to be hand-in-hand with our community, making it a better place to live, work and play.

Through our support, lives of orphaned children in Kenya, Ukraine and Belarus are being transformed!

Heart for Orphans, provides loving, nurturing, Christ-centered transition homes and programs to abandoned children right where they are at so that they can heal, come to know the Lord and begin to change from the inside out. They give the love, guidance and security of a healthy family — something that most of these kids have NEVER known! We support this wonderful organization. You can too!

Poverty

The North Suffolk Rotary Club works with organizations like Rise Against Hunger through the Stop Hunger Now event and CAP Suffolk (Coalition Against Poverty) to eliminate poverty in our community and abroad.

Education

The North Suffolk Rotary Club puts a strong emphasis on education by focussing on programs like RYLA, a weekend leadership experience for high school juniors and seniors that applied and were awarded scholarships by our club. The Club also works with local high schools promoting Young Life and other school clubs.

Homelessness

It’s right in our backyard. Homelessness is real, and the North Suffolk Rotary Club has partnered with organizations like Mercy Drops Dream Center and Soap Chips by funding programs to help eliminate homelessness.

Health care

The North Suffolk Rotary Club raises money and gives generously to local organizations like Western Tidewater Free Clinic, Roc Solid Foundation and many others to help with specific need of health care and the needs of our community to maintain a healthy landscape.

I’ve lived in Suffolk longer than I’ve lived any one place in my life. The North Suffolk Rotary Club was the catalyst that helped me develop lifelong friendships and deep community roots.
